Supporting new parents

Our Queens-based Maternal Child Health programs, including Healthy Families and Healthy Start offer information and support around parenting and child development to parents with children 0-5 through home visiting and case management. Services are voluntary and free and confidential, and offered in multiple languages.

Expectant and new parents can learn more about:

  • Labor, delivery, and prenatal care
  • How to handle the stress of parenting
  • Breastfeeding and parent-child bonding
  • How to keep your baby healthy and meeting developmental milestones

We can provide referrals for:

  • Health Insurance
  • Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition program
  • Public Assistance
  • Food and clothing
  • Support groups
  • School/Work programs
  • Intimate partner violence services
  • Family planning services

Our maternal child health programs are jointly funded by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) & the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)
