Our Queens-based Maternal Child Health programs, including Healthy Families and Healthy Start offer information and support around parenting and child development to parents with children 0-5 through home visiting and case management. Services are voluntary and free and confidential, and offered in multiple languages.
Expectant and new parents can learn more about:
- Labor, delivery, and prenatal care
- How to handle the stress of parenting
- Breastfeeding and parent-child bonding
- How to keep your baby healthy and meeting developmental milestones
We can provide referrals for:
- Health Insurance
- Women, Infants and Children (WIC) nutrition program
- Public Assistance
- Food and clothing
- Support groups
- School/Work programs
- Intimate partner violence services
- Family planning services
Our maternal child health programs are jointly funded by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) & the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA)
