To Our 25 Biondi High School Graduates: You Did It!
We couldn’t be prouder of our graduates and about how Rising Ground’s Biondi School transformed their lives. Two of our outstanding students who spoke at graduation summed it up best.
“When I came to Biondi Elementary School in fifth grade, I couldn’t read. In one year, I could read,” said Jacob. “From that day on, I told myself that I could do anything!”
Keturah said it took her more than four years to finish high school, but “I did it!” She added it was hard when some people in the community told her she wasn’t going to make it. But, she said, “I chose to rise above because I will never give up. No one has the power to shatter your dreams unless you give it to them. I refuse to give anyone that power.”
Now Jacob and Keturah are prepared for a bright future. Jacob is entering the U.S. Army and Keturah is working while training for a career in home health care.
